Healdsburg is served by the Healdsburg Unified School District, which balances the personalization of a small district with the ability to offer a variety of programs to meet the needs of all students. There are two neighborhood elementary schools, one junior high school, one comprehensive high school and one alternative high school.
Healdsburg Elementary School serves grades K-6. The staff is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment in which all students receive a high quality education that is academically rigorous while addressing the needs of the “whole child”. In 2006, the school had 30 full time teachers, with an average teacher to student ratio of 1:20. The schools Base API score was 767, which was slightly lower than the states goal of 800.
Healdsburg High School serves grades 9-12. The school is dedicated to the intellectual, emotional, physical, cultural, and social growth of all students. Healdsburg High School prepares its students to be purposeful, responsible, and contributing citizens as well as to function effectively in the world of work. In a caring and safe environment, students develop skills and attitudes needed for life-long learning. In 2006, the school had 45 full time teachers, with an average teacher to student ratio of 1:22. The schools Base API score was 729, which was slightly lower than the states goal of 800.
